Back in March 2012, Tyler Knott Gregson, a poet and photographer from Montana, began a daily habit of typing out short poems and thoughts on small bits of scrap paper strung through an antique Remington typewriter he picked up on a whim at a local antique store. He called it: The Typewriter Series.
Moved by his words, his social media following and fan base rapidly grew, much to his surprise. Poems were pinned, shared, and even turned into t-shirts and art prints. On Tuesday, his first book, Chasers of the Light: Poems from the Typewriter Series, will be released. It’s funny to think that just by sharing feelings through words, all of this can transpire.
His poetry is romantic and speaks of longing and intensity, something brave to write about. Putting your heart out there everyday can’t be easy. After you read a lot of them, you start to wonder…who does he love so much? It’s a mystery.
For more of Tyler’s work, you can visit his website or follow him on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Further, if you decide to pre-order his book before September 2, you will receive a custom signed bookplate and $1 of your purchase will be donated to To Write Love On Her Arms – a non-profit that focuses on helping others struggling with depression and suicide.
