Well, it’s May! I can’t believe it.
The biggest news of the month so far is that our lilac bush is amazing.
I usually can’t reach many of the flowers but after a heavy rain, a main branch cracked at the base so we took advantage of the harvest.
May is a great time in our yard because everything just blooms with no help. It’s the one time of year it looks like I actually maintain a garden!
In addition to drowning in lilacs, I’ve been in a springy mood and apparently the rest of the world has too. Check out these six recent, floral inspired finds I’m loving:
The goal of Sony’s new advertising campaign for the 4K Ultra HD TV was to cover Costa Rica with 8 million flower petals {a petal for every pixel} and the results are stunning. More photos and a video are here.
I really love these floral portraits by FQWImages.
Tiffanie’s paper flower creations just keep getting more beautiful. I’m so proud of her! Also check out her recent feature in the San Francisco Chronicle!
Amazing floral art installations by Rebecca Louise Law. What a dream job!
Fun specimen prints created by The Weaver House for The Working Theory Farm.
Pretty seed packets exclusively for Anthropologie by two of my favorite illustrators, Lulie Wallace and Julia Rothman! Ahh!
The seeds are distributed by the Hudson Valley Seed Library. Not only do they have a great website for the home gardener, but each spring they commission local artists and illustrators to design seed packets. I love it!
Oh man, this post is just so spring-y and beautiful. Those photos of Costa Rica are amazing, and the paper flower is CRAZY! I love your blog :)

I have found my way here from Floret - I came to see your lilac and was not disappointed! I also love the paper flower and the Rebecca Law installation - she is really amazing.
